Students at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) have contributed $3,220 from their annual 5K Race for Mental Health Awareness. The funds will aid Hartsville’s 2026 Night to Shine event, which provides a prom night experience for individuals with special needs.
The race, conducted on February 15, attracted 136 participants and was organized by GSSM’s student group Fun Without Drugs (FWD). Additionally, nine students from GSSM volunteered at the 2025 Night to Shine event on February 7, offering one-on-one support to attendees.
