Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman has presented his annual State of the City address during a luncheon hosted by the Rotary Club of Aurora. The presentation took place at the large ballroom in the main campus of the Community College of Aurora. "It’s my honor to give the mayor's annual State of the City address," stated Coffman.
The Mayor reflected on the efforts made by the city since he took office, focusing on economic development, public safety, and housing. He highlighted the city's initiatives to improve infrastructure, stating that "investment in our infrastructure is investment in our community's future."
Emphasis was also placed on public safety improvements. The Mayor discussed the expansion of the police department and the introduction of new technologies to enhance safety. "We are committed to ensuring that our residents feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods," Coffman said.
Additionally, Coffman addressed the issue of housing, mentioning the development of affordable housing units as one of the top priorities. The Mayor acknowledged, "Affordable housing is a challenge that we are tackling aggressively."
The presentation concluded with Coffman reaffirming his commitment to making Aurora a city of opportunity. The address was well-attended, with local officials, business leaders, and community members present to hear the city's future plans.
