Participants of the 2024-2025 Fellows in Education group recently visited Delmae Elementary School. The visit included a presentation by Principal Mrs. Roy Ann Jolley, who has been with the school since 2000. She highlighted the school's academic offerings and various clubs, such as Delmae Dads and the Spanish language immersion programs.

During their visit, the group enjoyed musical performances by students during lunch and took tours of the facilities, observing classroom interactions. Delmae Elementary is noted for having more than 900 students, making it the largest elementary school within Florence 1 Schools.

The Fellows in Education program comprises a class of 30 local civic and business leaders who will visit eight different Florence 1 Schools over an eight-month period. The initiative aims to showcase daily educational activities at Florence 1 Schools.

Fellows In Education is a collaborative community project involving Florence 1 Schools, the School Foundation, and the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.
