The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Business Outlook Luncheon on March 19th at the Florence Center. The event attracted a full house of 535 local business and civic leaders.
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson was a key speaker at the luncheon. He discussed several topics, including efforts to combat human trafficking and public safety in South Carolina. Wilson highlighted that under his leadership, the state has achieved significant progress in improving its human trafficking laws, reaching the top rank nationally for these improvements.
During the luncheon, Clint Moore, Florence Assistant City Manager, was honored as the Public Servant of the Year. Dr. Fred Carter, President of Francis Marion University, presented this award.
David Fountain, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner of UPS Stores in Florence and other locations such as Sumter, Summerville, and Charleston, received the Small Business Person of the Year award. Jim Ivey, President & CEO of Dedicated Community Bank, presented this accolade.
Additionally, Michael Hinson was recognized as the 2025 Chamber Ambassador of the Year.
