Later that evening, Crane critiqued longstanding educational practices with reference to Albert Einstein's definition of insanity: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The Department of Education has failed our nation’s students for decades. It’s time to chart a new path. Thank you to President Trump for having the courage to do this." His remarks highlight dissatisfaction with the Department of Education and appreciation for what he perceives as decisive actions taken by President Trump.
