Desert Senita, a Federally Qualified Health Center located in rural Arizona, will be featured on an upcoming segment of "Empowered with Meg Ryan." The segment aims to highlight Desert Senita's efforts in providing comprehensive healthcare services that address both physical and mental health needs, regardless of patients' ability to pay.

The program will explore how Desert Senita is working to remove barriers to healthcare access in remote communities. It will emphasize the organization's commitment to offering a wide range of services, including primary care, mental health treatment, dental care, and social work. This holistic approach focuses on treating the whole person and fostering community empowerment.

Dr. Daniel Bárbara, CEO of Desert Senita Community Health Centers, expressed gratitude for the feature: "Desert Senita is grateful for the work of the Empowered Program, highlighting and celebrating local and regional efforts like those of our health centers to 'empower' our communities and the families and individuals who make up the very fabric of those communities. We look forward to the filming of a great segment that shares the story of our work in Ajo, Arizona City, Stanfield, Coolidge, and soon Casa Grande."

The segment will also showcase how Desert Senita's integrated care model improves individual lives while strengthening the community as a whole. It will discuss how offering all services in one location helps normalize access to mental health and substance use treatment by reducing associated stigma.

"Empowered with Meg Ryan" is known for its award-winning storytelling that delves into inspiring stories of individuals and organizations making positive impacts worldwide.
