The City of Florence is planning a significant reinvestment in its downtown area, with $180 million allocated to revitalizing abandoned buildings. This initiative will introduce new businesses, including restaurants, bars, and an event center over the next five years.
Hannah Davis, Developmental Manager for Florence, highlighted the diverse attractions planned for downtown. "We just had a recent opening of a jiu-jitsu studio in downtown Florence as well, so we’re starting to get some of these interesting activations of spaces that add to the Florence foot traffic," Davis stated.
This development aims to enhance the vibrancy of downtown Florence beyond just food and entertainment options.
