The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is expanding its virtual STEM programs to include homeschool students across the state. This initiative offers a tuition-free opportunity for high-achieving students to participate in advanced STEM courses. The program aims to connect these students with peers and expert faculty through a live online learning environment.

GSSM's Accelerate program provides a college-level engineering curriculum designed to prepare students for future careers in STEM fields. The program features live, virtual instruction during school hours, hands-on labs at the GSSM Hartsville campus, and summer learning experiences that focus on engineering applications.

The program is open to current ninth-grade students who meet specific academic prerequisites and delivery requirements. Applications are due by February 24, and early application is encouraged to secure a spot.
