Teen relationships are expected to be based on respect, trust, and safety. However, statistics indicate that one in three teens experiences dating violence. In February, Pee Dee Coalition is focusing efforts on raising awareness about healthy relationships and educating the community on recognizing signs of unhealthy behaviors.
Tracey Miller, Director of Prevention Programs at Pee Dee Coalition, encourages those interested in learning more or scheduling presentations on topics such as teen dating violence and bystander intervention to reach out via email at tmiller@peedeecoalition.org. The organization also offers information on building collaborative partnerships with its prevention program.
The coalition has organized virtual events throughout the month to engage the public in this important discussion.
