The Florence County Disabilities Foundation is set to host its annual BBQ benefit, an event aimed at supporting over 1,400 individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and head and spinal cord injuries throughout Florence County. The funds raised from this event are used to provide specialized equipment, vision and dental services, accessible home modifications, and opportunities for participation in activities such as Miracle League softball and the Special Olympics.
BBQ plates will be available for pickup on Wednesday, March 20th, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Two locations have been designated for this purpose: the Continuum in Lake City and Highland Park Methodist Church in Florence. The catering will be provided by Brown’s BBQ of Kingstree.
This annual gathering not only aims to raise necessary funds but also enhances community engagement and support for those with disabilities in the area.
