The Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) has announced the election of its new Board Chair, Calvin G. Butler Jr., CEO of Exelon Utilities. Butler succeeds Paul A. Tiburzi, who served as Chair since 2018.
Calvin G. Butler Jr., in his new role, expressed his commitment to fostering regional collaboration and addressing critical issues affecting the community. "I am honored to serve as the next chair of the Greater Baltimore Committee," said Butler.
Donald C. Fry, President and CEO of GBC, praised Tiburzi's leadership and welcomed Butler's appointment: "Paul Tiburzi has been an outstanding leader for our organization and region."
Exelon Utilities is a leading energy provider with a significant presence in Maryland, where it serves millions of customers.
The transition marks a continued focus on economic development initiatives by the Greater Baltimore Committee under new leadership.
