The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced significant closures affecting the Phoenix area from January 24 to January 27, 2025. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes due to these disruptions.

A major closure will affect westbound Interstate 10. The freeway will be closed from Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to the I-17 "Split" near Sky Harbor Airport. This closure is scheduled from 10 p.m. on Friday until 4 a.m. on Monday, January 27, as part of the ongoing I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.

In addition, southbound State Route 143 (Hohokam Expressway) will also be closed between Loop 202 and I-10 near Sky Harbor Airport during the same time frame for work related to the Broadway Curve Project.

ADOT encourages drivers to consult the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for detailed information about these and other restrictions in place over the weekend. The map is available in PDF format on ADOT's website, where a complete listing of all restrictions can also be found.

For further updates, individuals can follow ADOT on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr or visit their blog.
