There were 199 African American students enrolled in J O Combs Unified School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.5% less than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that J O Combs Unified School District welcomed 4,395 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 4.5% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the district.

Among the nine schools in J O Combs Unified School District, Combs High School recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 61 students.
