Maricopa's Exceptional Community Hospital recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation.
According to inMaricopa, the Gold Seal is a designation that indicates a health care facility's commitment to complying with standards that ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
“As a private accreditor, The Joint Commission surveys health care organizations to protect the public by identifying deficiencies in care and working with those organizations to correct them as quickly and sustainably as possible,” Mark Pelletier, RN, MS, chief operating officer, Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing executive at The Joint Commission said, according to inMaricopa. “We commend Exceptional Community Hospital for its continuous quality improvement efforts in patient safety and quality of care.”
A team of Joint Commission reviewers inspected Exceptional Community Hospital on June 1 and June 2. The team evaluated hospital standards across a broad range of categories including emergency management, environment of care, leadership and more.
