Central Arizona College issued the following announcement on Mar. 2.
Central Arizona College recently launched new English/Reading and Math Placement tools for students. All incoming students and current students who need to take English, Math and general education courses are asked to complete the new Placement tools.

Karen Hindhede, Professor of English stated, “These tools help students self-place based on a variety of multiple measures, such as high school GPA and national assessment scores like the ACT/SAT. Additionally, they are asked questions about their familiarity with particular concepts.” She added, “The tools should be completed before students see an advisor or register.”
