Central Arizona College issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
Jared graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 2004 and enrolled at CAC with academic, Jazz, and Honors Program scholarships. In addition to participation in the Honors Program and Jazz Band, Jared says, "I really enjoyed the small class sizes and open office hours with the instructors. It helped create a great learning environment to be able to interact so closely with the instructors and other students. The Honors program was also a very enriching experience that not only encouraged achievement but also creativity."
He earned an Associate of Science degree from CAC in 2009 and transferred to the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, achieving a Doctorate of Pharmacy in May 2014. Four strong influences in his journey include Ginny Atkinson, Rick Moore, Diane Beecroft, and Liz Baroi. As he reflects on their guidance, he says, "My years at CAC were some of the best of my life. I had the freedom to explore and was also encouraged to do so. So many of the staff and instructors at CAC so obviously had the success of students at the forefront of their minds."
Jared, we love your story. We are Vaquero Proud of you!
