A live drawing for a 2016 Nissan Leaf and gift cards to local businesses will take place on October 14, 2020 during the Tolleson Virtual Coffee Talk Webinar.
Friday, August 28, 2020. The City of Tolleson will hold a drawing for a 2016 Nissan Leaf car and gift cards to local businesses on October 14, 2020 during the Tolleson Virtual Coffee Talk Webinar. Manheim Phoenix, a wholesale auto auction and part of Manheim, the leading provider of vehicle remarketing services, donated the car to the City of Tolleson.
“We’re overjoyed that the Manheim Phoenix team donated a vehicle to the city for the T-Town Census 2020 Car Giveaway,” said Tolleson Mayor Anna Tovar. “We are excited to have all Tolleson residents complete their 2020 Census questionnaire in order for them to get a chance to win a car!”
The census population count determines how many representatives each state will have in Congress for the next 10 years and how much federal funding communities will receive for roads, schools, housing and social programs. It is critical every person in all homes are counted for in Tolleson and Arizona.
“We value our partnership with the City of Tolleson and are happy to assist them in this important effort,” said Emily Decker, Arizona market center leader and general manager of Manheim Phoenix.
To date Tolleson has a 57.2% response rate for the 2020 Census well below the national average, which is at 63.9%, and the state’s average of 60.4%. With 42.8% of households still needing to complete their 2020 Census questionnaire, we saw a need to provide an incentive that can make a positive impact for a family. This car can help provide a family much needed transportation for someone to go to work or school.
How to enter for a chance to win the 2016 Nissan Leaf
This drawing is open only for Tolleson residents that complete their 2020 Census Questionnaire and can provide their confirmation number of completion. Each household (address) is limited to one entry. Tolleson residents must submit their 2020 Census confirmation number no later than 5 p.m. September 30, 2020. *Deadline date to submit your 2020 Census Confirmation number and/or to select a winner may be extended if the deadline for the 2020 Census is extended. Official rules can be found on the T-Town Count 2020 Census Car Giveaway webpage www.tollesonaz.org/cargiveaway.
To submit your 2020 Census Confirmation number,
Once you complete your 2020 Census questionnaire, take a picture or write down your Census confirmation number.
Email publicaffairs@tollesonaz.org or call the Public Affairs Department at (623) 936-2760 to provide the picture and/or confirmation number along with name, address and contact information.
Residents may also use the online submittal form to submit their confirmation number by visiting www.tollesonaz.org/cargiveaway.
