Pinal County recently held a virtual public meeting in order to gain input from residents regarding its proposal to fix the area's flood hazards and other environmental issues.
According to a recent Pinal County press release, the county is seeking to get input on its Vekol and Smith Wash Watershed Plan/Environmental Assessment, which is designed to help alleviate flooding and other "natural resource concerns" in the Hidden Valley/Maricopa/Stanfield area.
A virtual pubic meeting was held on Aug. 6 for residents to get information and learn about the proposed Vekol and Smith Wash Watershed Plan/Environmental Assessment. The county has also opened up a public comment period through Saturday, Sept. 19 so residents can submit comments about the study.
A recording of the recent virtual public meeting can be viewed on the Flood Control District website and residents can click here to complete a survey as well as get more information on the study.
