Tuition and fees costs at Arizona’s four-year public university have more than doubled over the last 15 years, equaling the fourth largest jump in the country over that time, according to a new College Board report.
The Center Square reports the actual hike over that time represents a 115.8 percent increase to $11,921, including another 1 percent increase over the last school year.
In all researchers highlighted that over the last five years average tuition and fee costs jumped by more than 15 percent when adjusted for inflation in at least nine states.
In addition, the average out-of-state tuitions and fees in 10 states are more than three times that of the in-state tuition and fee numbers.
Overall, tuition and fee costs at a four-year public university for 2019-20 were highest in Vermont at $17,474, followed by New Hampshire at $16,916.
