Applications are now being accepted for Youth City University, a seven-week program designed to introduce students to the workings of local government. The program features interactive sessions with different city departments and offers participants the chance to learn from city leaders. Students will also have the opportunity to observe behind-the-scenes operations and gain an understanding of how local government functions on a daily basis.

According to organizers, “This seven-week program gives students an inside look at local government through fun, interactive sessions with various city departments.”

Another statement from the announcement notes, “Learn directly from city leaders, explore behind-the-scenes operations, and see how your local government works day-to-day.”

More information about the program is available online.
