Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers posted a series of tweets on August 27, 2025, raising questions about public health and interstate issues involving California and Arizona.

In her first tweet at 18:42 UTC, Rogers wrote, “A cultivated epidemic? https://t.co/IlpEQMgHjc”. Later that day at 19:03 UTC, she added, “Thank you, Mr. President, because they ‘spill over’ from California into Arizona. https://t.co/bwtrZA6bJo”. Wendy Rogers is a Republican who was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 7th Senate District. She succeeded Theresa Hatathlie in this role.
