Wendy Rogers, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 7th Senate District, posted a series of statements on her social media account on September 23, 2025.
In one post, Rogers commented on an individual named Powell, stating: “Powell is striving to keep his job. TOO LATE Powell.” (September 23, 2025).
She followed this with a reference to a biblical story: “In the Old Testament, Solomon ruled between two women who both claimed to be the mother of a child. Solomon ordered the baby be cut in half, with each woman to receive one half. The selfish first woman accepted the compromise as fair, but the second begged Solomon to give the” (September 23, 2025).
A third post simply asked: “Why wait?” (September 23, 2025).
Rogers succeeded Theresa Hatathlie in representing Arizona’s 7th Senate District after her election in 2023.
