Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers, representing the 7th Senate District, posted a series of updates on her official X (formerly Twitter) account on January 21, 2026. The posts addressed topics ranging from drug overdose statistics and border policy to legislative initiatives involving the Arizona National Guard and local wildlife sightings.

In one post dated January 21, 2026, Rogers stated: “Drug overdose deaths down 20% in 2025 due to border crackdown. But Arizona HOBBS’d UP 17%.” This comment referenced national trends in drug overdose fatalities as well as an increase specific to Arizona.

Later that morning, Rogers highlighted a legislative effort with another tweet: “Senator Wendy Rogers’ bill would block Arizona Guard from unauthorized U.S. wars”. The statement alluded to proposed state legislation regarding the deployment of the Arizona National Guard.

Wendy Rogers is a Republican who was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 and represents the state’s 7th Senate District. She succeeded Theresa Hatathlie in this role.
