Wendy Rogers, a Republican who has represented Arizona’s 7th Senate District since 2023, shared a series of posts on December 15, 2025, highlighting an incident involving a Muslim Syrian immigrant and expressing her views on legislative procedures.
In her first post at 15:28 UTC, Rogers wrote: “A Muslim Syrian immigrant saved Jewish Australians at a Hanukkah celebration from Islamic State pledges… a story to die for. That’s who acted when it counted. Not the people with security details and press conferences. The guy who runs a freakin fruit stand.”
Shortly after, at 15:29 UTC, she posted: “In other words, ABOLISH THE FILIBUSTER.”
Her third post at 15:32 UTC stated: “Embrace this. Best of the best.”
Rogers was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023, succeeding Theresa Hatathlie as the representative for the state’s 7th Senate District.
