Wendy Rogers, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 7th Senate District, posted a series of statements on X (formerly Twitter) regarding state legislative measures and constituent support.
On February 17, 2026, Rogers highlighted proposed legislation concerning military deployment: “‘Defend the Guard’ SB1047 precludes sending the Arizona National Guard to a war zone unless the US Congress declares war. The Guard is to defend the homeland & assist in natural disasters. #BringTroopsHome”.
Later that same day, she addressed another legislative topic involving cooperation between state and federal authorities: “Prescribes requirements for state & local cooperation w/ federal immigration authorities & the enforcement of federal immigration laws that include training law enforcement and investigating violations.”
In a post on February 18, 2026, Rogers referred to her constituents’ preferences: “My rural constituents VOTED FOR THIS.”
Rogers succeeded Theresa Hatathlie as senator for Arizona’s 7th Senate District after her election in 2023. The district includes large rural areas, which have shown consistent support for conservative policies.
