Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers posted a series of tweets on September 22, 2025, expressing criticism of political involvement in science and commenting on public figures.

In one tweet, Rogers referred to an unnamed individual as “Newscum the stunt clown.” (September 22, 2025). Shortly after, she wrote about the importance of objectivity in scientific research: “Science. Unbiased research. Data. Conclusions. Politics don’t belong in Science.” (September 22, 2025). In another brief post the same day, she stated simply: “Yes!”

Wendy Rogers is a Republican who was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 7th Senate District, succeeding Theresa Hatathlie.
