Wendy Rogers, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 7th Senate District, posted several updates on her Twitter account on August 22, 2025. Her tweets addressed topics ranging from compensation for radiation exposure victims to commentary on election integrity.
In her first post of the day, Rogers announced expanded eligibility for federal compensation related to radiation exposure. She wrote: “Applications Now Open for “Reauthorized and Expanded Radiation Exposure Compensation Act” (RECA) As part of recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act, (RECA) reauthorized & significantly expanded. Downwinders & uranium workers may receive a one-time $100,000 compensation if” (August 22, 2025).
A few minutes later, Rogers commented on an unspecified political departure with a brief statement: “Saving face as he exits stage left.” (August 22, 2025).
Later that day, she expressed support for Tina Peters and raised concerns about election oversight. Rogers stated: “Free Tina Peters b/c she did what every election official should do: Verify the count actually counts. Free her because imprisoning those who preserve evidence is what tyrannies do. Free her because the alternative is accepting that questioning elections is now a crime.” (August 22, 2025).
Rogers replaced previous state senator Theresa Hatathlie when she was elected in 2023.
