Wendy Rogers, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 7th Senate District, announced the passage of two bills she sponsored in recent posts on her social media account.
On February 23, 2026, Rogers wrote: “Arizona Senate passed my SB 1058, which says if you purchase a firearm with your credit card, your privacy is protected.”
Shortly after, on February 24, 2026, she posted: “Arizona Senate passed my SB 1152, which says if you’re an asylum seeker, you cannot get public benefits unless your asylum is granted. (FYI – 85% of asylees are turned away because they’re not legitimate.)”
Later that day, Rogers shared another message stating: “5D chess warmup”.
Rogers succeeded Theresa Hatathlie as state senator for Arizona’s 7th district after being elected in 2023.
