Wendy Rogers, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 7th Senate District, announced on April 9, 2026, a series of legislative advances related to border enforcement and immigration policy.
On her social media account, Rogers reported that “The Arizona House Rules Committee advanced my SB1052 strengthening border enforcement training for our officers. We are getting serious about real security.” (April 9, 2026).
Shortly after, she posted another update: “Big win in the House. They just passed my SB1520 requiring agencies to share immigration data. This is how we actually enforce the law.” (April 9, 2026).
Later the same day, Rogers shared news from the state senate: “The Arizona Senate passed my SB1055 requiring immediate ICE notification for every illegal alien arrest. Border security is not optional.” (April 9, 2026).
Rogers succeeded Theresa Hatathlie as senator for Arizona’s 7th district after her election in 2023.
