Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers has recently posted several comments on social media regarding homelessness and affordable housing initiatives in Flagstaff. Rogers, a Republican who began representing the state’s 7th Senate District in 2023, shared her perspectives on these topics through a series of tweets.

On September 9, 2025, Rogers expressed concerns about the economics of homelessness, writing: “Homelessness has become a profitable business. Sick.”

Later that day, she highlighted collaboration with local authorities on infrastructure improvements related to housing developments. In a tweet posted at 16:46 UTC, Rogers stated: “Great to work w/ ⁦@CityofFlagstaff⁩ on long-needed upgrades to #Route66 especially at Woody Mountain Rd intersection with 200+ Timber Sky #AffordableHousing filling up this fall!”

She also reiterated the topic of affordable housing in another brief post: “#AffordableHousing” (September 9, 2025).

Rogers was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 and succeeded Theresa Hatathlie as the representative for the state’s 7th Senate District. Her recent statements reflect ongoing debates over homelessness policy and development projects across Arizona.
