Teresa Martinez, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 representing the state’s 16th House District, posted several messages on her social media account in early April 2026 addressing issues related to ballot signatures, transparency, and offering congratulations to a colleague.

On April 8, Martinez shared concerns about signature collection at an election site. She wrote: “REMEMBER: DECLINE TO SIGN!! I got this from a friend ‘I voted at the SRP election in person a guy there was collecting signatures for ESA ballot &spreading lies! He was lying to get people to sign!’ YOUR children belong to you NOT the Government ! DECLINE TO SIGN!”

The following day, on April 9, Martinez commented on the topic of transparency. She stated: “Transparency is a GOOD THING! Makes you wonder what they are hiding?”

On April 10, she congratulated T.J. Shope with the message: “Congratulations @TJShope ! Super proud of you buddy!”

Martinez succeeded John Fillmore as state representative after being elected in 2023. As a member of Arizona’s legislature, she has used her platform to comment on current events and legislative matters relevant to her constituents.
