Teresa Martinez, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 to represent the state’s 16th House District, posted a series of messages on her social media account addressing recent events involving local figures and organizations.

On September 9, 2025, Martinez praised Joseph Chaplik for his involvement with youth activities. She wrote, “You go Joe!!! @JosephChaplik visited his local Boys and Girls club to help promote the physical fitness challenge we did at the State Capitol!!! Looks like he had a lot of fun with those kids!!”

The following day, Martinez expressed concern regarding Charlie Kirk. On September 10, she posted, “OMG!!! Prayers for @charliekirk11 !!!! This is horrible!!! Please pray for him!!!! this violence is unacceptable!!!!!”

Later that same day, Martinez shared condolences after learning of Kirk’s passing. She stated, “Dang. RIP Charlie. Thank you for everything you did for us. To my friends @TPUSA I’m so sorry for your loss. I love you guys . My heart breaks for you. Know I grieve with you. Austin Smith @TexPolesky @tylerbowyer @mcmartinezaz @_JustinOlson”

Martinez assumed office in Arizona’s 16th House District after replacing John Fillmore in 2023.
