Temple & Hogsette honors Florence County’s first responders at Statehouse ceremony

Temple & Hogsette Law Group recognized 13 first responders during the annual “First Responders of the Year” ceremony held at the South Carolina Statehouse, according to a Mar. 17 announcement. The event honored deputies and police officers from both the City and County of Florence, firefighters, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources officers, Florence Regional Airport security personnel, and South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers from Troop 5.

This recognition highlights the ongoing commitment to public safety in Florence County. For sixteen years, Temple & Hogsette Law Group has celebrated individuals whose dedication and professionalism help protect the community each day.

The tradition was established by the late Senator Hugh Leatherman and is now continued by members of the Florence County legislative delegation. Representative Wallace H. “Jay” Jordan, Representative Phillip D. Lowe, and Senator Mike Reichenbach currently host the ceremony at the Statehouse.

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce contributes to community engagement by promoting local tourism and supporting businesses in the area according to its official website.
