T.J. Shope, a Republican representing Arizona’s 16th Senate District, has recently posted several updates on his social media account, ranging from weather warnings to community engagement events.
On October 7, 2025, Shope advised his followers to be cautious of incoming weather, stating, “Just a thought…if you had leaks or flooding issues with the last round of storms like I did, play close attention to the remnants of Hurricane Priscilla as they’re expected to impact Arizona over the weekend. Be prepared!”
Two days later, on October 9, 2025, Shope shared his participation in a local event, writing, “Rep. Martinez and I had a great time in Casa Grande this evening with the @CGAZChamber at their annual Business Showcase! To everyone who signed petitions for the Shope, Martinez, and Lopez Team, we say thank you! Great night! #ShopeForSenate”
Shope’s posts come as he continues his tenure in the Arizona State Senate after being elected in 2023 to represent the 16th Senate District, succeeding Kelly Townsend.
