T.J. Shope, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the 16th Senate District, shared a series of posts on his social media account reflecting on recent community events and commemorations.

On December 6, 2025, Shope posted about attending a charity event with his wife: “Melissa and I had a great time at last night’s Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children Gala! Thanks to Scott & Andrea Smith for the invite to show our love to the kids fighting cancer! @SunDevilScotty https://t.co/hbY2yJ0jeq”.

In another post dated December 7, 2025, he congratulated a local athlete: “Big congrats to #CasaGrande’s own @jesusramosjr_ on winning the @WBCBoxing Interim Middleweight Championship! https://t.co/bjVqhFOCnC”.

Later that day, Shope highlighted the importance of remembering Pearl Harbor Day: “If you want to see a real-time history lesson of the “date which will live in infamy,” I strongly suggest following the @USSArizona page today! God bless those who perished and those still unidentified to their loved ones here at home. https://t.co/SaR1nwvfSy”.

Shope began serving as state senator after replacing Kelly Townsend. He represents constituents in Arizona’s 16th Senate District.
