A meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2024, at the District Office PD Room in the Apache Junction Unified School District to evaluate proposals from vendors for Social Studies Resources K – 12. The meeting, set to take place from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, aims to assess the submissions received in response to RFP 24-04-29, as outlined on www.azpurchasing.org and www.publicpurchase.com.

The Apache Junction Unified School District received proposals from four vendors for their Social Studies Resource K – 12 initiative. The vendors who submitted their proposals are Britannica Education, Imagine Learning, McGraw Hill, and National Geographic.

The evaluation panel consists of ten members who will be responsible for assessing and selecting the most suitable vendor for the district's Social Studies Resources K – 12. The evaluators include Meara Verna, Caylie Lavenduskey, Robyn Gonzales, Yesenia Braaksma, Teresa Edwards, Christine Jones, Jason Chavarria, Samantha Whaley, Ray Cunningham, and Ed Matlosz.

During the evaluation process, the panel has the discretion to decide not to award a vendor and explore the use of free online resources as per the guidelines outlined by the Arizona Department of Education. The ultimate goal of the evaluation is to carefully consider the proposals and select the most beneficial resource for the students in the Apache Junction Unified School District.
