10 professional licenses were issued in cities in Pinal County in Q1

There were 10 professional licenses issued in cities across Pinal County in the first quarter of 2023, according to the State of Arizona.

This was 50 percent less than the quarter before, when 20 professional licenses were issued.

Casa Grande had the most professional licenses issued among cities within Pinal County.

More than 99 percent of Arizona's businesses are considered small with more than 40 percent of Arizona employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A study by Civic Economics found $100 spent at a locally-owned business, puts $68 back into the local economy while the total is just $43 for non-local businesses.
