The National Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) Hall of Fame induction ceremony will occur on March 24, with Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb acting as the master of ceremonies. The Hall of Fame is supported by Calibre Press.
The National LEO Hall of Fame said in a news release that Calibre Press is “one of the most respected law enforcement training organizations in the country.” For nearly 40 years, Calibre Press has provided world-class training to law enforcement personnel throughout the country, along with supplying leadership preparation for “top law enforcement administrators and supervisors, as well as specialized courses focused on strategic communication that can help control and depressurize challenging situations,” according to the release.
Established in 2017, the Hall of Fame is intended to “spotlight officers who represent the best in service, valor, courage, and duty," according to Pinal Central. Sheriff Lamb is scheduled to emcee this year’s induction ceremony, which will take place in the Toledo, Ohio, area.
“The purpose is to recognize those officers that have gone above and beyond in one way or another in the line of duty,” according to the Hall of Fame's website.
Megan Stockburger, Hall of Fame co-founder, said that Sheriff Lamb was chosen because he “embodies the true spirit of law enforcement. It could not be more fitting to have him so prominently involved in this important event.”
“The National LEO Hall of Fame was created to spotlight ... law enforcement professionals like Sheriff Lamb,” Stockburger said in a Calibre Press news release. “Now more than ever, our nation needs to be reminded of the incredible work law enforcement officers are doing to keep our communities safe. Sheriff Lamb will help us make that clear.”
Adam Davenport, a Hall of Fame co-founder and Calibre partner, said it is critical to back law enforcement personnel amidst negative feedback that doesn’t represent society as a whole.
