The Pinal County Board of Supervisors set tax levies and tax rates for the 2020-21 fiscal year for all Pinal County taxing jurisdictions at an Aug. 28 meeting.

The tax decrease was specifically for the primary property tax in Pinal County. The rate of the primary property tax was decreased from $3.8699 to $3.75 for the residents of Pinal County.
The rate was decreased by the board of supervisors in order to meet the goal of positively impacting citizens. In 2017, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors created a strategy involving a goal to cut the primary property tax rate to at or below $3.75. The board of supervisors met the strategic goal by reducing the primary property tax rate to $3.75.
