MiTek will expand its Phoenix-based manufacturing operations by expanding into a 153,000-square-foot building next to its existing plant in Tolleson, Arizona, increasing its operation footprint by 60% and adding 40 new full-time positions.
The company, a diversified global supplier of integrated software, service, engineered products and automated solutions to the building industry, produces connector plates and MiTek Builder products in its 261,000-square-foot plant on West Lincoln in Tolleson, the Arizona Commerce Authority reported.
“Our experience working with the City of Tolleson and the Arizona Commerce Authority over the years has been nothing short of exceptional,” Mark Lee, president of Residential North America at MiTek, told the Arizona Commerce Authority. “When considering where to invest resources to advance our business operations, it was only natural to further our commitment to the Phoenix area.”
MiTek will invest $5 million in facility and equipment for the new site, which will produce custom MiTek Builder Products and the company’s Lateral Systems (Hardy Frame®).
“We are excited to bring new jobs to a market with great talent,” Lee told the Arizona Commerce Authority.
