Lucid Motors Inc. has temporarily halted the unveiling of its luxury electric sedan due to the coronavirus crisis.
However, the company is still showing the car off through video and taking reservations. The car is called "Air" and will be assembled in Arizona.
The Lucid Motors Inc. company is based out of Newark-California. The operation is spearheaded by chief engineer Peter Rawlinson, who is a former Tesla Inc. chief engineer.
The company released a video on April 2 showing the team involved in the project. The video follows the team as they take a prototype of the Lucid Air on a round-trip loop from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Lucid is one of two vehicle companies that are in the process of building huge factories in Pinal County south of Phoenix. Lucid Motors Inc. is building its new factory in Casa Grande. At the same time, Nikola's facility is being built in Coolidge.
