Central Lutheran Church issued the following announcement on March 26
Dear Friends,
In anticipation of a rise in the present pandemic risk we will continue to suspend worship services until further notice. This suspension will now include the gatherings for Holy Communion. Our continued hope is to do our part to restrict the spread of pathogens within our faith community and our families.
The recorded sermon for the week will be posted on our website (centrallutheranaz.org) for all worship dates. With the coming of Holy Week, this will include Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
I am praying for all of you, especially those who are struggling with the impact of the virus on your daily lives. There still are many unknowns, so we want to do all we can in the best interest of our neighbor.
Your offerings are very important to the well-being of the congregation’s ministry, so I encourage you to remain current or make up for any missed offerings as soon as is possible. You can mail contributions to P.O. Box 677, Arizona City, AZ 85123. Please use this mailing address for all correspondence.
Again, thank you for your cooperation as we consider how to best balance the need to be safe with the desire to serve one another. Also, please watch for the April newsletter with more details about the congregation’s transition to new pastoral leadership.
Blessings,
Pastor Thom
