The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) has been recognized at the 2025 InnoVision Awards, winning in both the Community Service and Young Innovators categories. The awards ceremony took place at The Palmetto Club in Columbia and highlights achievements in innovation and education across South Carolina.

GSSM’s Golden Dragons received the Community Service award for their efforts in technical outreach and mentoring. The team contributed over 460 hours to activities such as leading workshops, mentoring new robotics teams—especially in rural and under-resourced communities—and organizing public demonstrations aimed at expanding access to hands-on STEM education.

The InnoVision Awards annually honor organizations and individuals who demonstrate innovation, creativity, and impact within the state’s technology and education sectors.
