On October 10, 2025, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that low-interest federal disaster loans are available to businesses, nonprofit organizations, residents, and tribal nations affected by severe flooding in Gila County. The declaration covers several Arizona counties: Coconino, Gila, Graham, Maricopa, Navajo, Pinal, and Yavapai.

As of the announcement date, the SBA has approved $4.1 million in disaster loans for individuals and businesses impacted by the floods. These loans include Business Physical Disaster Loans for repairs or replacement of damaged property; Home and Personal Property Loans for homeowners and renters; and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) to support working capital needs due to financial losses from the disaster.

The deadline to submit applications for physical damage loans is December 9, 2025. The deadline for economic injury loan applications is July 10, 2026.

Business Physical Disaster Loans allow eligible businesses and nonprofits to borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace real estate, equipment, inventory, or other assets damaged by flooding. Homeowners may apply for up to $500,000 to repair or replace their primary residence; both homeowners and renters can apply for up to $100,000 for personal property such as clothing or vehicles. Applicants may also qualify for a loan increase of up to 20% of their verified physical damage amount if they plan mitigation improvements like insulating pipes or installing storm windows.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available even if a business did not sustain physical damage but experienced financial losses because of the disaster. EIDLs help cover fixed debts and other operating expenses not met due to lost revenue from flooding events. However, agricultural producers—except aquaculture enterprises—are not eligible.

SBA customer service representatives are currently available at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce at 1360 N. Bored St., Globe AZ on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering assistance with applications and answering questions about eligibility requirements.

For more information on how residents can apply online or schedule an appointment with an SBA representative at the local chamber office please visit the SBA website or contact their Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955.
