Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, criticized Democratic lawmakers and their approach to recent policy issues in a series of posts on November 9, 2025.

In his first post, Crane questioned whether fellow Arizona politicians would take action regarding a government shutdown. On November 9, he wrote: “Will Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego finally put Arizonans first and vote to end Schumer’s historic and harmful shutdown?”

Shortly after, Crane made another statement about the priorities of Democratic lawmakers. At 19:20 UTC on the same day, he posted: “Democrats don’t care about hardworking Americans. They care about making insurance companies rich.”

Later that evening, Crane commented on healthcare affordability: “It’s not even affordable WITH the ‘subsidies.'” (November 9).

Crane has served as a member of Congress since 2023, representing Arizona’s 2nd District after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
