Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted several statements on his official Twitter account on September 6, 2025, addressing border security and the anniversary of the Freedom Caucus.
In one post at 13:51 UTC, Crane stated, “The border is secure.” Later that day at 14:00 UTC, he posted another message reading simply, “Shocker.”
At 17:40 UTC on the same day, Crane marked a milestone for a congressional group by writing: “This week, we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the @FreedomCaucus.
What we do is simple.
All those promises you hear “conservatives” make on the campaign trail? We actually advocate for those policies in DC.
We’re outnumbered, but that doesn’t stop us from fighting.”
Crane has served as a representative since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has been an active voice for conservative causes within Congress and is affiliated with the Freedom Caucus—a group known for its advocacy of right-leaning policy positions within the Republican Party.
