Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 17, 2025, covering meetings with Navajo Nation leadership and remarks on domestic terrorism.
In his first tweet of the day, Crane wrote: “Had a chance to reconnect with Navajo Nation President @BuuVanNygren today. Our discussion was focused on enabling better access to gravel pits, efforts to pass the historic water settlement reached with Navajo, Hopi and SJSP, as well as President Trump’s recent investment in https://t.co/NNIRCn5DH3” (September 17, 2025).
Shortly after, he commented succinctly: “Good. https://t.co/Vz9bNaMczN” (September 17, 2025).
Later that morning, Crane participated in an event honoring conservative activist Charlie Kirk and shared his thoughts online: “This morning, I joined @bennyjohnson to honor Charlie Kirk’s remarkable legacy. Although many in the GOP have no backbone, I’m hopeful the administration will combat domestic terrorism. Coordinated violence and calls for bloodshed are not protected under the First Amendment. https://t.co/ywCjr3ygik” (September 17, 2025).
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since replacing Tom O’Halleran in Congress in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley at age 43, Crane has been active on issues related to Native American relations and public safety.
