U.S. Representative Eli Crane, who serves Arizona’s 2nd congressional district, posted a series of statements on December 3, 2025, addressing topics from legislative reform to environmental concerns.

Later that evening, he expressed support for efforts to prohibit congressional stock trading. In a tweet at 19:34 UTC, Crane stated: “I applaud @RepLuna for leading the charge to end congressional stock trading.

Lawmakers should not have the ability to profit from their access to non-public information.

Addressing environmental health issues in Arizona in another post at 21:05 UTC, Crane wrote: “Abandoned uranium mines contaminate groundwater and pose serious health risks to Arizonans.

To improve cleanup operations, I joined my colleagues in introducing the Legacy Mine Cleanup Act of 2025.

Crane has served as U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
