Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account on January 22, 2026, addressing recent legislative developments and political debates.

In one post, Crane highlighted Republican efforts on border security, stating on January 22: “Last year, Republicans passed the strongest border security investment in U.S. history. In addition to finishing the wall and hiring thousands of agents, this bill upgrades dated technology. Through overlapping deterrence, our borders will remain secure.”

Later that day, he referenced progress on a legislative initiative focused on environmental restoration: “Today, the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025 cleared a major hurdle in the lengthy legislative process. With a unanimous, bipartisan vote of approval, we are one step closer toward eliminating obstructive red tape and accelerating recovery efforts:”

Crane also criticized Democratic messaging regarding federal policy debates. On January 22 he wrote: “By leaving out key context, Democrats are intentionally stoking unrest and endangering federal agents. Rather than making an honest case for their policies, they rely on half‑truths and outright lies. Thankfully, the American people see through their shameless gaslighting.”

Eli Crane was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district following the 2022 election.
