Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on October 14 and 15, 2025, expressing his views on the ongoing government shutdown and referencing fellow lawmakers.

On October 14, 2025, Crane posted a tweet containing only an American flag emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/FMq81TGq5V”.

Later that evening, on October 15, 2025, he tweeted an emoji of a fist along with another link: ” https://t.co/Rvtuk6Zl9s”.

In a subsequent tweet on October 15, 2025, Crane commented on the attitudes of other lawmakers regarding the government shutdown: “Senator Schumer feels better about this shutdown every day, and Senator Gallego is already plotting the next one. Shameless. https://t.co/cjcI8NHyRs”.

Eli Crane has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom O’Halleran as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd district. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
